Wondering if anyone has a DIY or write-up on how to fix that problem with the brake pedal switch. I just bought the switch but couldn't find any DIYs when I searched. Any help is appreciated.

Don't have to break the switch apart (like i fuggin did). just pull the red part out, and it will yield enough clearance to push the tabs in. pops right out. Too bad i figured that out after the fact. But I did come up with a few new colorful expletives in the process, so all was not a loss.

I couldn't get my old one out... I was laying upside down on my back in the driver seat... couldn't get it no matter what. I just cut it out with a drimmel... the new one goes in easy.

You guys kill me...lol

"I can't figure out how the switch is supposed to work, so I'll just break it to get it out..." lol

Press brake pedal
Pull plunger out
Pull out retaining collar
Depress tabs
Switch falls out.

Come on guys, it ain't rocket surgery...

Changed mine in about 10 minutes. It's very simple.
The tabs on my old one broke off so it came out rather easy.

Not knowing to pull the plunger out = caveman removal method = 1 extra hour and a broken switch (which might not have been bad in the first place)
