Hello. Yes I search so bite me. I've been doing some tire shopping on tire rack for winter tires and for tires next year after winter. The tires I have now are cheap runway tires and every time it rains. I get a lot of wheel slip no matter how slow I go from a stop. I had just about enough of it already. Here are the tires I was looking at today. Open to suggestions. :)

You picked my top two choices, particularly for ice conditions (main issue where I live). I have run both and they are equally comparable and have excellent traction in bad conditions. Note that in order to be effective in winter ice conditions the tire compounds are quite soft so when they are cold and harden they are still pliable and effective. The downside is that if you run them in warmer weather they will wear very quickly. My solution is to have a second set of rims and do the changeover myself the day before the first snowfall of the year. I then pull them off as early in the spring as possible.

The other thing to mention is to ensure they are inflated to the suggested pressure in you cars manual (not the max pressure on the sidewall as many people do) If you overinflate them they will wear out in the center quickly.

Good choice on the winters. As for your long term choice...I really don't know. I'm a Toyo guy (proxes 4)

For your car the Blizzak WS60 is going to give the best ice and snow traction. If you are not an aggressive drive a tire like the RE960 AS would be a good 3 season tire. If you are more aggressive you may want to go with a summer performance tire for the 3 seasons. The Blizzaks also have a 50.00 mail in rebate at this time.
If I can help let me know.

I have the RE960 on my old car that I don't drive any more. I must say I like the quiteness of the tires. I might go with the summer performance tires. Witch summer tires are the best?

About the winter tires, I'm leaning tords the Blizzak WS60. I'm going to be ordering those in November.
Thanks for the input guys.

Oh, I had toyo tires before. They did ok for me. About the inflation, I keep all my tires withen spec. I do plan on getting some steelies for the winter tires.

To be honest I don't remember. I got them from Costco.

When I finally moved from Chicago(finally haha) and came back south. The size worked for my mom's benz. She is STILL using them and Costco swaps winter tires for free. They are going on their 5th or 6th season.

Nice lol. They seem like a good tire.

Oh Jim, right now I have the cheapo runway tires. I do not know the po was thinking but they suck.
