How the hell do I get these out of the subframe? The bolt won't go back far enough to remove the arm due to the Diff being in the way. Please tell me I don't have to drop the differential.

Ok, I won't tell you.
I've heard that you can unbolt the diff and give yourself some wiggle room.

What you've heard is true. The differential doesn't have to be dropped all the way (support it with a jack or jackstand) to get the bolt out. Exhaust might be an issue as well and it's remedied the same way.

remove the driveshaft from the input flange and remove all three bolts securing the diff this will give enough room to move the diff out of the way

Thanks gentleman. Definitely a PITA, but it is possible to get them out without dropping the differential. Rear swaybar also needs to be un-clipped from the brackets as it is in the way of unbolting the diff, but thankfully you don't have to remove the end-links; just to prepare anyone who plans on doing this. Exhaust also needs to be dropped, but it's quite easy to do that.

are you sure this is for the lower arm? It sounds like the upper arm... aorry for the thread revival, but I'm in a pickle with the upper arm getting that bolt out that attaches to the subframe and maneuvering it around the differential

It's the same for both. You need to support the diff with a jack, unbolt the two rear bolts and the front bolt and slide it as far back as possible. You'll find you can get both upper and lower arms out without disconnecting the CV shafts.

I just dropped the diff when I did mine, takes 2 mins.
But then I ended up taking out the subframe and replacing those bushings as well
