symptoms of a dead IAT anyone know.

what are the symptoms of a dead IAT temp sensor my car seems to run better without it however if i unplug it at idle there is no change in engine idle its same and same if i plug it back in no change.

and its idling high 1000rpm and if i start it in the morning it revs like crazy all the way to 1700 and then drops to around 1300 and then when warm 1000rpm

i think its this anyone.

I was having a weird idle issue, so I cleaned my ICV, put on a cleaned euro HFM, intake, new IAT, took off the whole mani and cleaned it, new gaskets.

not sure what fixed it, but it didnt hurt. :)
