i have spent entirely too much time reading about tires. I have been searching the forums as well.

I have the opportunity to get Michelin PS2 tires at a significant discount because of my job. However i am not entirely sold on them. Perhaps im just being brain dead from all the reading and beers. Basically the discount should put them around $150 for 245/40/17.

I am wondering about how they will wear compared to khumo mx's, azenis, toyos...etc. the tread wear indicator spec doesnt seem to be overly useful from what ive read. The car is my DD, but i do like having grippy tires and dont mind replacing them a little more often.

sorry to start yet another thread but i was having a hard time finding the data. Also if anyone has links to some comparisons that would be great.

have you checked Tire rack.com?

I wanted the Dunlop Direzza sports but they were just out of my price range.

If you can get PS2's at that price, buy a few lots worth and sell them. How much for two of those 245's shipped to 68134?

I have them right now and LOVE them (paid over $1k for all four mounted and balanced). Plenty grippy for aggressive street use, and they are phenomenal in rain and still very good in light snow. Tread wear is decent; I'm at 18k miles on them and have beaten on them fairly hard. The inside edge of the rears is getting fairly worn down, but middle and outer edge of the tread is still good. Fronts are 50% still all around.
