Yes hello to you all im having this problem with my m3 when i turn the steering wheel it makes a ticking grinding sound and the steering is kind of tight my nephew said it might be the clock spring "slip ring" but he's not to sure he's been tryin to get me to go to project m spec but i really dont have the time i was wondering if any of my fellow e36 owners out there have an idea what this problem can be or might have had the same problem thank you .

First thing I'd recommend checking is your PS fluid level. E36's are known for their crappy PS hoses/clamps and will need replacing eventually. Check hoses for any leaks, top off fluid, and go from there.
