A set of 4 16" contour M3 rims with Dunlop Winter Sport 205/55/16's off of my 97 M. Tread is in great condition along with the rims. What do you think a fair asking price for these would be knowing the winter is almost here? Thanks in advance.

are you sure they are 16s? they also look like a set of replicas....oem contours are 17in wheels, have a place for the ///M decal, and also have a ring around the lug holes....

you can see what i'm talking about in this pic....

OPs rims are definitely contour reps.

Not all BMW Contours have an "M" badge on them.

I have a set of BMW winter contours that came with the car originally & they are 17's with 215's on them all the way around.

Here they are on RealOEM (http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=BG93&mospid=47488&btnr=36_0196&hg=36&fg=15)

His tires definitely say "16" on them in the pics.

A good price for a set of contours with good tires is $450 - this is a buyers price. this wouldd be a good price for a buyer. If you are patient, you can probably fetch $600+

I know because I sold my 4 DSI's (much less desirable then contours) for $550. (5 rims tires on their way out)

If they are 17" rims and real contours you should be able to get at least $550 with good rubber - as long as someone elese is lookin for snow tires.

i'd start at $650 or $700 locally... craigslist and such

wow.

This guy on ebay thinks he can fetch $900 (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?type=3&campid=5335818596&toolid=10001&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Febaymotors%2FBMW-M-Contour-Wheels-w-Bridgestone-BLIZZAK-tires_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ66483QQihZ013QQit emZ230293042456QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW)... you think they are worth 200? you either just dont value OEM BMW parts very high or want to low price the guy and buy them cheap

Even if his rims are reps, they are worth more then $250. id say ~$400 low on even reps.

any 3 series e36 can sport these rims you will find a buyer

took a second look at the pics... the closeup of the tire looks like the tire says 16"... if that were true then these are not OEM (as far as i know) and price is very different. i have no idea what reps are worth.

Reps aren't worth crap. The OP won't reply to my PMs, but I'm offering to buy for $325 shipped which IMHO is a very fair price for non 16" non OEM wheels.

thats all in opinion. for a winter set of tires... tires alone... people will be spending at least $325... so looking at the pics, the tires are good. as a spare set of winter rims, these are worth more then $325 ... what people will pay may not be what they are worth.

If they were mine though, I would look for someone who didn't have a M3 and sell them to them for +/-$500.

reps are worth more then "crap" Although i am not a fan of replicas, if i didnt have an M reps wouldn't bug me at 16" or 17" larger reps i would worry about strenth.

I would rather not post my email address for all to see. If you can bear with me until I am able to send/receive pm's I will pay your asking price and pick them up myself. How many miles are on the tires? How did the M handle last year with them?

I realize this set has been sold, but am looking to buy a set exactly like this and just want some confirmation.. Will 16" contour's fit on an e36 m3? Just spent 2 hrs searching and found some saying brakes won't clear, but also local bmw says 16" will fit and found a craigslist ad with someone who used 16" contour's on his 97 m3... PLEASE HELP! thanks.

I needed a set of 5mm spacers to fit them and ~10mm with new brake pads (caliper sticks out farther). They "just" fit in...

the 16"s contour reps are ac italia's, i was looking to pick up a set for winter tires use. They may be importing them again due to the drop in the ratio of the euro:dollar, but last year at this time they were IMPOSSIBLE to get. ebay has them, but generally only 1 or 2 at a time...

I put these on last month and they fit fine.
