Let me know. Also, is there a particular amp that should be used with them? IF so, maybe a package containing an amp with the stealthboxes would be clutch. thanks

I'm interested in getting a pair too. If someone wants to nut up and take charge that would be great. I'm too much of a chicken $hit or else I would. Anyways, I pulled this little excerpt from a thread at e46fanatics:
"You might want to try Craig@StreetEffectz.com I know he sells them for a great price, but I'm not sure if he ships over seas."
Good luck!

What is the retail on these puppies? I have a 12" Alpine Type-R sub with the MRD-M300 behind it.. and it does ok if I have the sub output turned all the way up, and the bass setting cranked up as well, and the amp all the way up..
I was very much considering the stealthboxes, but I didn't feel like paying what is I'm sure ridiculously high retail price. I've been quite happy with JL in the past.

I think retail is $400 for the pair. But I could be wrong.
MrChaos, you're sub will probably sound better is you remove the the two 6x9's (or is it 6.5"s, i forget) from your rear deck. bwm trunks are sealed pretty tight, that's probably why you can't hear your sub. Taking the two oem "subs" will effectively make 2 ports for the sound to enter the cabin. The only thing that sucks is that you loose your low-mids frequencys from the rear.
P.S. If you have the ski-pass thru option, then just remove the vinyl piece seperating your trunk and cabin and put down the rear arm rest, to create a large port.

If someone is interested, I may be selling my stealthboxes very soon. I live in the Bay Area (Cali), so if anyone wants to audition them before I take them out, you are more than welcome to.

Does the audio retailer have to be a supporting vendor? Or can I arrange the group purchase from any car audio store.
Let me know and I'll get cracking with it.
Thanks

You can go with anyone who is willing to help out with a group buy. Just find an authorized JL Audio distributor and have at it. (I got mine last December in Hawaii at an audio store-hooked up by another forum member!....love 'em)

THey have a website, but I thikn it's really only for informational purposes. If they're selling goods off of there it's most likely at list price, if at all. In fact, they have information on there that states their policy regarding internet sales.

Just so you guys know, this is for the E36 3-series, NOT THE E46!
Ok, this is the deal. I spoke to the fag at the shop and he said 325 + shipping is the best he can do. He also said something about being illegal for us to pay him and have him to ship out the parts to each individual address. I kinda think that hes just being a lazy bastard. He told me that I would have to pay for everyone's pair and then send them out on my own. I wouldn't mind doing this, but I have no way of taking credit cards, which is how I assume most of you were going to pay. Let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks.

08-13-2003, 08:53 AM
Jon,
Since you would be taking delivery at the store, this would likely be considered an in-state transaction, and thus subject to TN sales tax (9.25%)! You should ask the dude at HiFi Buys Nashville about that, since the sales tax would make the "out the door" price $355 rather than $325, plus shipping of course.
KaOTiKM3
08-13-2003, 09:13 AM

If M3Jon will take paypal, that will be cool. I have a paypal account for ebay where I can accept credit cards. However paypal charges me a fee, so I will need to check how much extra that is. If you just pay using bank account funds there is no fee. But yeah we need to see if he will take paypal.
And now would be a good time to make a real list.

They WILL fit in a sedan. I have a 97 M3/4 and they do fit fine. You WILL have to drill one hole for each speaker to fit as the sedan mounting points are slightly different. Other than that, they fit fine....Just thought I would share...I did not read the thread, but I know this was debated before..Tim
