All-
Recently I have found out that the rims I have on my car are very hard to find and I have a problem. I was in an accident back in March and they just barely found a flat spot in the rim that can't be taken out. My tire shop looked for two weeks trying to find a chrome rim that will match but they can't find one to replace it.
The rims are on a 325XI, 2001, however they are M3 Chrome Rims. The only rims that can be found are painted or brushed, not chrome.
At this point, what are my options? I personally would have no problem getting the stock rims put back on my car for various reasons. One of them being that I need to put snow tires on really soon and finding snow tires for the size rim I have is outrageously expensive.
The rims that are on there now are in good shape, and as mentioned, they are chrome. Is it possible for them to be painted to get a matching set or will the paint not hold to the chrome?
Lots of questions I know, however any input is appreciated!
