so for anyone who is wondering like i was, these coilovers will bolt right up to an early model e36 without any retrofit kits or anything. i spoe with someone form ddm yesterday on the phone and asked all about it. i was told that they will bolt right up to my build date 5/92 car. So, i thought this might help someone who wants these and wanted to know this also.

I am still curious to this fact. Ihave searched but came up with inconclusive answers. The Front suspension is like the E30 suspension no? And the rear is like e36 right?
So with that being said, how would e36 suspension bolt up to an e30?

i was told that the early e36 suspension was similair to the m3 suspension and shared the sway bar attacthment points. i dont think e36 suspension will bolt up to an e30.

I believe that it's the opposite of that.

Does anyone know who actually manufactures these?

I have a 06/91 build E36 and built an E30 for a friend. The front suspension setup is just like my '95 M3... strut mount attachment for swaybar pickup. Can't comment on spring perches just yet (will have them off soon) but doing a coilover setup negates this issue. As for the rear suspension... It is just like any other E36 having trailing arms and control arms.
It is my understanding that the E36 318ti model has E30 rear geometry (just trailing arms), but haven't seen one in person so can't confirm.
Thanks - Jon

Patience guys. Patience.
We can't say too much too soon because we like to keep competitors wondering what we will do. Suffice it to say, there is a rollout schedule.
Anyone on the waiting list for their systems will get billed late this weekend as those systems ship to us. Early adopters will be getting some interesting upgrades for free down the road as a thank you from us.

the e30 control arms fit onto the e36 and offer 8lbs of weight savings but they are aluminum and bend easy.

I will go find the website again where I found the manufactuer--they specialize in drifter stuff--it appears to be a standard damper assy and they screw on the proper adapters-- not tested --no shock dyno info for the use on a bmw.

In excess of 2.5 inches. We stopped testing there because we don't run 1 inch wide tires.
