So this week i'm painting my wheels a flat black and adding one coat of clear just to add a hint of protection and a little bit of shine to try and make it a matte.

I have a bunch of degreasers in my garage, so Ill let those work up and wash and rinse till I can get as much dirt/grit off.

I bought 2 cans of duplicolor flat back wheel finish, 2 cans of etching primer(bought 2 just in case I need more, ill return if I dont need it)

I'm gonna do probably 2 coats of primer on each wheel. Wet sand with 320grit.

3-4 coats of paint, each layer wet sand with 400 grit. Than 1 coat of clear.

On to the wheel repair. I probably have about a 1cm width and about 1/2 cm depth chunk of my rim gone in the back lip. Now I mean I can't just fill this stuff in with bondo/sand etc. Should i maybe take a peace of metal cut it out in the shape, than glue it, than bondo it sand and the whole shabang?

If my procedure is wrong please tell me as I'd really like this to come out best as possible. These are just my stock 16" sport package wheels. Will be a fall/winter rim. Once summer comes around, I plan on buying K1's for auto-xing.

I've actually read that before that's where I used to find out what supplies I needed, but that is great for helping m fix the minor curb rash I have but I actually have a little bitty chunk of lip gone

use cold weld (J/B WELD) can be brought at your local hardware store or pepboys etc.
