I woke up Sunday morning after a really really stormy night. I then got into the car, started up and drove just fine to a friends house. I walked inside his house for probably 10-20 minutes. I then walked outside to start my car up and leave. It fired up fine, but before it was completely running to an idling state, i hit the gas and it bogged it out and killed it. I was like huh.. never did that before.. So i tried again to start it and got nothing.... So i tried the OBD I test by pushing the gas 5 times. I dont get any codes. The service engine light flashes 1 long time then 1 short time then 1 long time then 1 short time etc. Thats it!! I tried to disconnect the battery for a few minutes thinking i triggered some sort of sensor. Ive never had any problems at all with it starting it always starts right up no problem. I can smell gas a lil bit when i try to start it so i dont think it is any type of fuel pump issue. I waited like 24 hours and tried to start it again and it does the same thing.. I am clueless right now.. Any Ideas PLEASE!! Any help is so very appreciated!

^^^ haha.

I would delete some of your posts and place one in the E36 sub-category in the 3 Series section. More traffic there for you to get help from.

Flooded DME is my guess.

Sounds like what happened to me when the fuel pump died. Since you can smell gas pull the back seat and see if a hose backed off of the fuel pump. Its under the seat on the passenger side.

If it was a flooded DME, would it have of started in the first place?
