I've been working on my clutch for quite a while now. This weekend I finally got everything back together. When I finally lowered the car and went to depress the clutch to start the car, the clutch depressed a little bit and kind of felt strange when I depressed it, then on the second try it would not budge. I am not sure what I did wrong, but I know it is something. The only thing I can think of is that I put the throwout bearing in wrong or something. I am not sure how I would mess this up. Has anyone else out there had the same problem? Or does anyone know of other checks I could make before taking the whole thing apart again? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!

By depress, do you mean when you push it down it wont pop back up? Or that it doesnt go down?

When mine wouldnt pop back up it was becase of a broken slave cyl. that was leaking brake/clutch fluid.

I'd start with the slave cylinder before you pull the trans again.

I ended up taking it all apart again today. I found out that I am an idiot and put the throwout bearing in wrong. Seems to be all fixed but now I get a low thud sound when I disengage and re-engage the clutch. It sounds like it is coming from the clutch at least.
