Hi all,
My car BMW 325i 06 (pre-owned) has squeaking noise when breaking at low speed to zero. Is that a sign to have my break pad replaced? The computer still says service at the next 7,000 miles.

Thank you,

Squeaking brakes are not unusual in BMWs. Have the pads checked just in case, but it could either be a sensor rubbing or just deposits on the pads/rotors which will go away possibly with driving. Do a search, lots on this topic.

Thanks Mryakan. I just checked the Pad. The rear pads is very minimal around 10%-20% compared to fronts which are almost 90%. This car is a certified pre-owned and I just purchased it for like 1 week. Do you think this is what they careless and supposed to be changed prior to resell the car? (I don't know why computer still says 10K mls for front, and 7K mls for rears, is it because they just reset it without looking at?) The car is still under warranty but now I am worried about quality of my pre-owned car.

I just bought a 2006 330i CPO about 10 days ago and the EXACT same thing is going on with my breaks. I've been reading a lot and it sounds like it's not very uncommon for this to happen, but I have the same concerns about the quality of the CPO inspection. But, I too have the original factory warranty, so I'm going to wait a little longer and see if it goes away by itself, if not, I'll take it in and see if they can fix it.

If you have any luck fixing or get any good answers, please let me know.

At one point my dealer had a large sign at their service desk explaining that brake squeaking was common with BMW and due to the material used in the performance pads BMW uses, etc etc. I guess not only is the problem common, but people complaining about it and driving into the service dept seems to be very common too. Not taking sides here, just reporting my observations.
