I know this is the E36 section, but I don't know anyone in the E46 side (except my brother in law!)

And me.
If your brother in law needs any mods, let me know.
02 330i w/ sport package. It looks just like mine did on June 2nd.
Yeah I got to drive the car about 50 miles back from where he purchased it, and it was a very smooth, powerful ride. I love my E36 but wouldn't mind an E46 at all, especially now since I've actually driven one.
I told him there is an untapped world on bf.c if he ever needs any part or mod, it's here! :D

yeah, we all saw how long that lasted lol
i had a 2001 330ci... loved it for 5 years... now i've sold it and am looking for an E36 M3... if its a stick and he enjoys driving he'll hate the drive by wire. Delete the clutch delay valve and add some stainless steel brake lines ( i had stoptech) and it'll transform the driving experience.

I did some more stuff to it last night after work.
Ill have a pictar thread up later in the week in E46section or Socal Section.
Well it's got the 5-speed steptronic automatic, which is perfect for him. He was driving an automatic '88 Pontiac Fiero (read: freeway death trap) so this is a HUGE upgrade.
Compared to my E36 which also has an automatic, this 330i was amazing to drive. I'm still a few years away from replacing my E36, so I'll just be happy with what I've got in the meantime.
I did learn a lot from the whole car buying experience by helping him shop for this car. There were so many other similar cars out there (some for a lot more money) with no maintenance records of any kind, or other "fishy" problems (like a bunch of junk yard parts put on and the used car dealer swore they were new).
