I have a 94 318i that I have basically fixed up myself. I got another one, a 97 that has a blown head gasket that I need to done. It is not all that bad. The car will idle without over heating, however driving it for about 5 miles and it starts creeping quick. I have pondered the idea of keeping it once I get it fixed, but the wifes says that I have to get ride of one. Which one do I keep?

I'd keep the one that's in better shape, regardless of what year it is. If they are equal in condition, I'd probably choose the newer one because I like that color better.

Why can't you keep both? Head gasket work is tedious and time-consuming, but it's easy.
Ok, it you need the money, sure, why not sell one of your babies. :nono

I'd say keep whichever one is in better condition and has lower miles. i know this isn't what you're thread is about but i agree with everyone on getting rid of the headlight covers. both from the pic looks like they are in good shape. i probably would like silver better because it's a cleaner color scratches/swirls prolly show up a lot more on the boston green so in the sun that would bother me, it looks like the silver is the 97 judging by the grills so i would probably fix the headgasket and then like i said whichever is better condition/mileage keep that one sell teh other. good luck

First, get rid of those headlight covers. Fix the headgasket on the 97 and then sell whichever one has higher mileage. Use said money from sale to fix up the one you kept. It's a win/win situation. Or you could do what others have suggested and just get rid of the wifey......
