which is safer and better!? a dry shot of nitrous or wet ?? does it differ performance wise!? meaning that a 150 dry shot.. is equivilant to wat if wet injected nitrous was used ? And how do I know how much nitrous is the engine capable of handling that i don't blow it off?
I got two engines in mind! the bmw E34 M30B35 and the bmw E23 3.4 M106 turbo! :)
thnx

I would only go with the wet system, making sure you are getting fuel when the nitrous is on. you could go 50 to 75 with out no prob.

In the end it doesn't matter if you have a way to control the extra fuel needed for the nitrous. But generally the bigger shots are wet anyways.

rule of thumb seems to be anymore then 75 go wet.

if you want to do it properly and are using the standard ecu/dme and cannot increase fueling the only way to go is with a wet system.

always wet

what the dry for then ? what the difference other than makin sure that the amount of fuel is correct while injecting nitrous?.. and isnt the wet more dangerous! :) thnx

dry is for cheap people or people who can manipulate fueling with their ecu. the difference other than making sure that the amount of fuel is correct... is just that... it means keeping the engine together. No, wet is not more dangerous - dry is more dangerous. DO NOT RUN A 150 DRY SHOT OR YOU WILL BE PICKING PIECES OF YOUR ENGINE OUT OF YOUR GLOVEBOX.

i can manipulate the fuel using a piggy back!.. but i think i will take ur advice and go for wet! thanks ;)

You won't be manipulating the fuel with a piggy back as you will only want to manipulate the fuel when nitrous is active, not full time... its not worth the hassle.

aha ok... well just for my knowledge what do i need to manipulate the fuel at certain rpm's?? MS??

If you're planning on running a 150shot... you'll need to dial in timing properly... that means a standalone, or a custom burnt chip.

If you were doing say a 50-75 shot, I'd say you wouldn't have to do anything ECU wise... but a 150 shot isn't exactly a small shot.

Piggybacks are junk, don't even bother with them.

Its not certain RPMs, its certain RPMs + certain TPS angles + if the nitrous is armed + if the nitrous is spraying + if the fuel pressure is high enough.

You need more than a piggyback to do this reliably... or less of a nitrous shot.
