my ride is well maintained and it good shape, but its 12 years old and has 103K. What can I expect from those who've done it as far as engine life? any trouble areas? I wont track, this is mostly for some thrills and unexpected "sniping" with the hot rod boys.

Huh? Expect while doing what? Keeping it stock? 100k miles is nothing...

You should have absolutely no issues at all with an intercooled setup.

Except for maybe the auto tranny??? Aren't all 328i's auto? If so, that's about all you have to worry about.

I put one on my 1999 328i at 108,000 with meth/water injection. That was 2,000 miles ago. So far so good, feels great and it has had some track days. Only thing I notice is a couple drips of oil on the ground for the first time. I would think this is as a result of the extra pressure on the gasgets. I'll have them look at that at my next rack inspection.
