:help I would like to know if a set of Style 29 rims require concentric hub rings or spacers for fitment onto 635csi or 628csi Models? I found a $200 set of 7x16 style 29s with tires (225/50/16) on CL, but not sure how many more things I need to buy for a complete install. It also does not come with wheel caps. Thanks.

may be or may be not. Style 29s were available with both center bore sizes.
Center covers are certainly still available as spares from the stealer for probably around US$25,- each (haven't checked the price though).
Offset is ok for the E24 (20mm)

Wolf,

As always, thanks for the info. Is there something specific to look for on the style 29 wheels, if they were made both ways? Something that will identify the wheel as a direct mount to the 6-Series. Just like the wheels I'm getting from you soon. I'm looking to get reasonable priced 16" Style 29s to go directly on the Zoebelbraun-628csi I just picked up this week.

The 628 will become my future daily driver, once an AC is installed, unless the 535 dies before I can retrofit the AC in the 628. I'm hoping to do it in the next 365 days. Hahaha. Where did all these projects suddenly pop-up from?

Either you measure the diameter of the center bore (72,5mm or 74,1mm IIRC - you need 72.5mm) or check the number on the wheel which is part of the spare part number and compare.

I'd also check and see what offset the wheel is - usually stamped on the inside of the wheel - will say ET-something.

Are these rivited Style 29 or the "regular"? Seems like Style 29 was pretty much the default wheel for E39 5 series here in the US unless they were optioned with the Sport or Sport/Premium package. If they came off an E39, they'll fit without issues, other than you'll need a set of hubcentric rings ($20).

You're grabbing that 628, eh? If that thing were on the mainland, I'd be highly tempted...

Yes, it is sitting in the garage now. I was able to get it for a very fair price. (below half his original asking price). There was basically no interest in these older cars in Hawaii (lucky me). Nice younger gentleman who just locked in on a real nice 3.0. Needed the $$$. Exterior is very clean top to bottom. The interiors are in better condition than I thought as well. It is just the front drivers seat that I'm concerned about. Everything else (door panels, rear side panels, headliner, etc.) is pretty solid as well. As you see from this thread, I'm trying to do a lot of research on bringing back the Nutria interiors.

Car still needs AC though. I haven't racked my brains on that hurdle yet. One thing at a time. I still can't believe that I picked up two nice Euro 6s in a matter of 5 weeks :buttrock. I guess another Shark-Kichi (Shark Crazy) is born in 2008. Now I just need a Euro M6. :alright Hahaha.
