Bought Some Recaro Seats

What do you guys think. I know they are blue and my interior is beige, but I am going to make it work somehow. thinking of doing a full black interior, and than running these in the front, or getting them covered sometime next summer. I gotcomfort seats right now. Electric and heavy as hell. The driver seat is in alright condition, but the padding on the bottom is starting to sag. The passenger seat is really nice. Might sell them if I put these in.

I like the Recaro's better, got that racing style and stuff. Bucket seats.

You can dye them. It might be hard to save the red lettering but it would do for now.

Really? Never thought about that. They are cloth. Could you tell me like a simple walkthrough?

Contact Recarro. you can google them. i think they are in Michigan. good posssibility you can buy the upholstery from them and then install the covers yourself

Dying it can't be that hard. If the letters are dyed black, that would still look very cool.

Good on you, that sounds like a really cool couple of seats. I am jealous.

I was told when I went to an auto upholstery shop today that my seats were basically unsalvageable and that I should go and see what I can pick up at a wrecking yard since mine are all wobbly, all the bushings and rollers are wasted.

I think what im going to do instead is, make my whole interior black. Dye the beige parts black, and paint the others, and put these in after I clean them. I think it will look cool, all black, with blue seats up front, and since the car is blue it will look pretty sleek.

But this will be later on, im not gonna get into it that much right now.

Questions, do that Recaro bolt up directly, or did you have to do a lot of mods to make them fit?

Nah, i dont think they mount up directly. The brackets are for a volkswagen, but I think you can use the 320i brackets, or some manual e24 brackets to mount them. Either way I will figure something out, even if I have to make custom mounts, not a big deal.
