Offical Pic request thread?

Ok so I was just thinking about starting a pic request thread. Where there would be pictures posted of most combinations of regular mods to our cars. For example, if someone wanted to know what clear corners looked like compared to smoked corners and then blacking out the kidneys on a dakar m3, they could just find it in this thread. Instead of posting a thread. I'm not sure how it would be organized, I'd say by color first and so on.

i have black kidneys now (not on my sig) and i know i like amber more than clear but maybe smoked looks good

Ha not yet. Thats what I'm trying to decide. Ive got clear(not smoked) side markers that I really like and my bro has smoked corners. I'd like to swap them out to see what they look like. I didnt really like the clear corners as much as the smoked but I'm wondering if the smoked corners would look okay with the clear side markers. And id rather not change the fogs. ALSO, I think it looks to "bright"?? with clear corners and a dakar M. So my next move would be to black out my kidneys. But I might not have to do that with smoked corners. I just needed a side by side picture to see.
I'll post pix as soon as I do that. Hopefully in the am.

do black out ur kidneys!!! i like how mine turned out specially since the black i used (it was krylon but don't remember what specific type) looks very different to the black on the middle of the grille. Point is, provides a good contrast with the grille...

i'll take pics tomorrow.

ok cool. Me too. I'm pretty handy with the spray paint, so you'd say just do that instead of buying new ones?

And did you paint your calipers? Mine were painted yellow when i got the car but its all peeled off but one.

yeah i sanded the grilles real good with a wet 400 grit then a 600 grit to refine it just a tad and applied five LIGHT coats... it will not look good at first but the end result will be better...

regarding calipers... i couldn't be more against painted calipers... but if it suits ur style...

Ya??? Well I painted mine on my black 01 firebird a nice red and actually got asked twice how much I spent on my brake set up...haha, I said "five bucks" That guy was so lost.

My wheels aren't CSL's but the design is similar. I have DTM Kreuz 16 in Gloss Black on my '95 Arctic Silver M3.
