Not that my numbers will be anything spectacular(gotta start somewhere), but I'll be heading to Cecil this Friday pending the shop finishes my motor install in time. They said it should be done this week so...let's hope. It'll be my first time to the track in a Bimmer

Well, im learning so far- (1/8mile) 8.50 w/ a 2.01 60ft at 87mph. The closest 1/4 is like 3 hours away. My drag has been on hold for like 3 months bc my hg blew. Nothing spectacular but....

they have been requiring the fire jacket for 2 years now it is an NHRA rule for any car with "aftermarket" f/i. if you ran your DSM that has factory f/i there for not requiring the jacket.

They never ask me about the fire jacket before eventhou I had it. And I've been going there for 4 years now. Englishtown they will they're very stricked on that rules. They'll even let you run for the rest of the night even if your required for a roll cage. They're preety mellow on Fridays, this is why its the best place and time to race. You get to run 4 times as much as in Englishtown. See ya!

nhra requires a helmet in anything faster then 13.99 but new jersey requires the helmet even if you are walking, lol. you always need a helmet at Jersey tracks. the fire jacket rule is new (2 years ago) for anyone with aftermarket F/I or nitrous or if you run 11.5 or faster. a cage is not required till you get to 11.5. funny enough you need steel tire valve stems at 11.99. then i don't remember the faster ones since i have never gone that fast.

Englishtown is more stricked on this rules. But Islanddragway on Friday is OK. Means they'll let you use an old helmet and prettend they just lend you one. They'll let you run for the rest of the night even if you don't have a roll cage after running lower that 11.6. They won't even check your engine compartment for aftermarket turbo or not even check your trunk for NOS.
Friday night on Islanddragway is specially for a street cars, means no unmuffled car. You would mostly see an average of 20 or less cars racing every Friday. Their main purpose is to take the racers out in the streets. But ofcourse, some goes back to the street after the strip closed!!!LOL.

I am excited to take the car to the strip some day. The car has not been a priority lately and has been down for a while, but eventually will be ready to go. I have learned my lesson about pumping things up in the forum before they happen. I'll wait until I actually have something worth sharing and then just post video. Drew, I might come out if we get a large enough group! Last time I went to Englishtown I only put in two runs because it was so crowded, both with the M3 and the Z06. The conditions were beyond horrible, I couldn't get anything better then a 2.0 60' time and ran a 12.8@ 110 MPH in the Z. It has been somewhat cold these past few nights by me, most likely the same in N.J., that will help with heat soak and I recently placed Toyo T1R tires to help with wheel spin in first gear. American Racing Headers w/ high flow cats and Borla XR-1 full exhaust really made a difference, completely different vehicle, I really want to see what it does.

I would advise you reading some information on drag racing then! You can first start on how practice will effect your 60' times, shift points, shift speed, tire pressure settings, proper burnout and overall feel for the vehicle your racing! All of which effect trap speeds and 1/4 mile times.

most definetly, my e36 keychain is a hole punch so I'm already ready. if for some reason the e36 isn't available, I'm gonna bring my diesel truck.

Drew, I have to drop my parents off at JFK in the afternoon and then I'm most likely going! Shouldn't be that much traffic during that time, see you guys there!

So, who was there tonight??? I didn't see you there Drew, I saw an E36 hatch from PA. I run my 05 Evo and I was so close to 12.0 still on stock engine, turbo, pump gas. I Just got the car 2 weeks ago then did some common mods (intake, exhaust, gauges, boost gauge, IC, retuned by X). I could have gotten to 12.0 but I had an family emeregency that I had to leave right after I've put 2 gal of 116 octane. That would have been an easy 12.0 or even high 11 if I'm really lucky. Anyways, I hope you had fun whoever was there. Peace!!!

the black ti that you mentioned is owned by a fellow from PA named Brent, he has an S52 under the hood, other then that is bone stock. I believe he was running mid 13's with it. I do not recall if he has a 3.91 still back there.

another associate ran his 335i (who consistently ran against the yellow F355 spyder) and my cousin showed up with his e46 M3, both ran last night, numbers to follow.

Yeah I saw the yellow F355 but the last time I saw it, it was a terrible time. It was his first run and he screwed up on his take off. Im curious on their time. Let me know when you find out. There some Vettes out there too but also running a crappy times.

i was there. terrible night if you ask me and the staff was even worse! but i did run a 12.1 at 122 last night. and my one buddy with a cammed z06 was running high 11's at 124-125 all night (it was his first time out). everyone i was there with was way off there normal mark something was "off" that night. plus i feel their timing system is shit! the system is off more often then not making it difficult to believe what is being printed there...

Then you are the one that I saw. Did you put a bra on your bumper? There's also another Z06 same color as yours that has a bra. Are you talking about the yellow Z06 that runs high 11's? Yeh I saw that too. I wanna look around to say hi to everybody but I'm too busy tuning my new Evo. I wanna see how it run before I start tearing it apart. Too bad I had too leave so soon, right after I bought the race gas too. Well anyways I'll probably be back next week with my DSM this time. Maybe I'll see you there again? Later, peace!!!!

last weekend i was testing the N20.
i couldnīt run with the 100hp or 150hp jets, it was to cold and i have no bottle heater. so i had to play around with some jets and got a well mixture with ~80hp.

traction was bad all day long and no sunshine.
my best run without N2O was:

2,081 60ft
8,567@ 138,8 Km/h 1/8
13,141@ 171,9 Km/h 1/4

i know i could hit 13,0 or maybe 12,9 with lower 60ft but i had to get my N2O running.

best run with N2O:

1,913 60ft
8,037@ 146,0 Km/h 1/8
12.330@ 186,6 Km/h 1/4

that was with 40% start power and 1,8s build up time. no N2O in 1st gear.
so there is more to come with the small jets.
