1990 BMW 535i with factory 5 speed manual transmission. I have the clean/clear title in my possesion. The engine runs great without any issues. It doesn't use any oil, it doesn't have any coolant issues, and it doesn't make any valve noise. It had a fresh change of mobil 1 ~705miles ago. The ECU has an Turner Motorsport Performance chip installed. The 5 speed manual transmission is in equally great shape and shifts good and strong. There is no noise and the syncros work how they are supposed to. The car has the winter package that includes a Limited Slip Differential and heated seats. The LSD is in good shape and doesn't make any noise either. The exhaust has a loose baffle but I will be including a good condition stock replacement muffler with the auction. The shocks are also showing their age and need to be replaced, however I will include front and rear strut assemblies containing both springs and shocks, along with the strut assemblies themselves, brake calipers, and rotors. It needs a new center bearing. The car needs some body work as it has some dents and scratches. Some of the paint appears to be low quality and not original (spray?) and there has been previous body work done (poor attempt to fix rust). The two rear doors have been recently refurbished, they are perfectly straight and do not have any rust at all. All interior electronic functions work to the best of my knowledge including the lights, gauges, windows, and sunroof. The car doesn't have a radio in it, I am including a stock radio in working condition with the factory code. Only the drivers seat shows wear, having a spot worn through on the lower back. The rest of the seats look good. The door panels are falling apart as they all do but can be fixed. The rest of the interior is in good shape. All parts included to have a great BMW with some minor TLC. I aquired the car in conjunction with another as a packaged deal with the intentions of fixing it up, however between an e30 project and work I don't have time. I drove the car from the time of purchace this past winter through this spring as my daily driver and didn't have a single problem with it at all. It is a great running car with only cosmetic issues. It would make a great parts/donor car or a good project for one of you guys with bodyshop experience.

Looking to get ~$1400

Feel free to ask for more pictures or come look at it

Thank you

Its a solid running car, no doubt about that. It just needs some TLC and I need it gone, I'm not getting any use out of it just sitting all the time (...and I want a Jeep :) )

Wow. What a deal. This is exactly what I'm looking for for my current 535i project, just too far away and not right now (no money). Awesome car, long live the M30.

I was sad about the screws used to hold the side skirts on too, unfortunately somebody thought it was a good idea as it was that way when I got it. (believe me if they weren't they would properly be attached to my 525 right now)

I have some misc. reciepts for stuff done to the car that came with it, other than that I don't know much about it. If I had to say, I would say that somebody that cared about the car owned it for a long time -hence the performace chip, it had silverstars, crankcase was really clean, upgraded brake rotors, and side skirts. I would then say somebody who didn't care at all owned the car after that and ignored the regular maintenance, hence the interior TLC needed, side skirts screwed on (some of the original brackets are there, so I'm assuming they were installed properly at one time) the dent on the passengerside front door, when I first got it it also had spray paint on the tails and turnsignals that I promptly removed. Basically, while I was hacking away on my 525 in the garage I used it as my daily driver for winter and spring. When I got it I gave it a once over, changed the oil, put my painted bottle caps on, and drove it without any issues.

yeah they are the bottlecaps I used to have on my car that a painted a couple years ago

****note****
Sorry, I went out side and walked past it and realized that I had changed the wheels that are on it now and completely forgot about it, It has a set of stock basket weaves on it currently and that is what it will be sold with. sorry for any confusion.

Imo the E34 535i is as good as it gets without being an M car. I have a 92 with a 171k and it runs so smooth. They say the M30B35 engine is one of the strongest BMW ever made. I have seen many with 250k+. The TMS Conforti Chip makes a difference in low end torque and really brings the engine to life. If it is mechanically sound then it is worth every penny. Good Luck on sale.

I must say I find this car tempting; the logistics of getting it here, however, pose quite a considerable obstacle for me. :(

Good luck with the sale! :buttrock
