View Full Version : need to get AC charged - where and how much ?

my AC is not blowing v cold air, any idea where i can take it to get it charged and not take out a second mortgage ?

are you near the fort worth area. i had a german shop off beach street charge me 540i for something like 120. the system was completely dry and had no vacuum.
i dont think that was to bad of a price. :dunno

i feel that is too much !!!!! my AC blows cold air, just not v cold. btw, i am in keller.

well if you have vacuum in your system and only want it recharged try going to john at bavarian motor sports off 377. he can recharge it for probably like $50ish.
or you can do it yourself with stuff from autozone.

Rahul, buy one of those cans from Autozone that has a gauge on there that tells you whether your system is good, bad, etc.

i was planning to do that Joe, but don't wanna fuq up the AC system.

i had seen that Eric, also was looking at the instructions on pelican website(link in first post).
looks quite simple, but what shud i keep in mind so i dont fuq up the AC system? any damage if i over charge(>45 psi) ???

other than the 45psi and not turning the can upside down, thats it, i just my sisters ac here in Oregon, took about 30 mins, saved her 240$

thats cuz it has oil too, but freon only yo can lock up your compressor because the comressor runs off the "gas" not the fluid of the freon
