Hello.

As I was driving back home today, it started raining. No problem I said to myself. Closed the opening-roof (btw, pardon me if this isn't the real english world), and started the wiper to clean the windshield. And...

And my wipers started to act really weird. They will stop at 50% travel right in the middle of the windshield, they will start moving (and stopping!) almost randomly, no matter what I do. The only way I can stop them is to put the stick at the highest (fastest) position, wait for the blades to comes back where they normally would stop, and then put the stick back where it should be when not in use. I checked the fuse box, and everything look normal.

Did it ever happen to you, or do you know what's the cause of that ?

Thanks a lot.
Vincent

This happened to me, wipers only worked on max speed and did some strange things other settings. It turned out to be the check control module (in the fuse box) wasn't plugged in all the way. Still can't understand what the CCM has to do with the wipers. You could try pulling it out and pushing it in a few times to clean the contacts or borrow a good one to see if that's the problem. Good luck.

Hi
Thanks for the advices guys, you were helpfull !
I ended-up playing with the CCM a little, and I sprayed some Jigg-A-Loo on every piece of wiper arm I was able to reach, and it seems to have solved my problem. I guess either the CCM was not fully where it should have been, or the wiper arms connexion were getting dusty/rusty and were too hard for the motor to move.

Thanks a lot.

Time to move-on on next issue Lol. (Still, I love that car more and more every day I play w/ it...)
