Drivers window-slow

Today I noticed that my drivers window goes down fine till it has about 2-3 inches left. Once it gets to that point, it slows down and the motor groans to get it down. It goes up fine without a problem, it is only those last few inches going down. I read that it could be the sliders. Any ideas whether to replace the sliders or just clean these and clean up the tracks?

this is a long shot, but double check that the screw that holds the bottom of the front track is still intact. there's a rubber plug on the front of the door, near the bottom. pull the plug and feel in there for the screw.

mine came loose, the track came loose, and then bent. not fun.

yours is likely a rubber/felt window channel issue. but the best bet is to pull the door panel and see what's going on, before something goes bang.

I have the door panel off and I don't see anything wrong except that the front portion of the window is the one that moves slower at the end. I was wondering how to access that track, I will go check it out now. Thanks.

Wow thanks for telling me about the front guide. I looked at the bolt and it is in tack, I then rolled up the window and sprayed some silicon lubricant onto the guide and it got a bit smoother. I nothing a bump in the guide so I peeled back the rubber and corrected it while adding some more lubricant. Now it rolls down without any hesitations. However, my sliders are a bit worn so they need to be replaced.
