Hi, do any member know the procedure to check the TPS. My '95 M# idle at 1250RPM ( too high ). Scanner said "throttle valve potentialmeter", and check engine light shows 1221. Thanks!

Looks like O2 sensor #1 to me. What si your definition of TPS? Are you still having an issue? Have you recently done anything in the engine bay?

Well...one problem fixed, and the "check" light off. The problem was the O2 sensor connector. I pluged the scanner and only 0.04v read from the O2 sensor.....and I knew there must be a problem there since it was a BRAND NEW O2 sensor. But, other problem is still there......idle too high....about 1100 RPM......TPS looks OK to me....tested with ohm meter and OK.....I think may be the IAC.....Since I bought this '95 M3 from US 9 months ago.....I have never run the engine......may be the IAC clough up...I will take it out tomorrow and clean it and will see what happen afterward....

Any comment in this issue????? BTW, idle stay in 1100-1200 RPM once started....hot or cold....No different......
