Hi All,
I've just finished up installing my AA C30 supercharger kit, and seem to have some software issues going on. The car will turn over, but not catch. Is this EWSII?

Some interesting info:

Stock ECU acts exactly the same as above- cracking, but no catching.
AA modified CAM software ECU: turns over and catches- stumbles due to larger 30# injectors installed.

I suspect the following, and please let me know what you think: My EWSII has been reset/changed/misaligned to the stock ECU somehow, hence the non-firing issue. The CAM software ecu likely has EWS disabled. The C30 software ECU does NOT have EWS disabled and is consequently misaligned as well causing non-firing condition.

Anyone have any insight? I don't want to waste $140 at the dealer getting the ECU aligned when the problem is elsewhere.

Thanks
Damon

I believe if it was EWS, the engine wouldn't crank; had it happen when I bought a bad replacement key.

I think the fact that that combination fires at all says that this isn't an EWS issue. Therefore you have something else not right.

Vacuum leak? -based on the comment that it will stumble then stall

well, we all learned something today. I towed the car down to EVOSport in huntington beach. The guys over there are great. totally knowledgeable, really nice, and 100% professional and accommodating.

While the car was on the flat bed, David came over with the scantool (some model, boostlogic or something like that), hooked it to the diag port, and within 5 minutes, EWS was aligned, and she turned right over!

So, lesson learned here: EWS controls fuel/spark, NOT starter. I've read numerous times about how it won't even crank, but this was never the case with my multiple ecus.

Maybe the aligned key is required to crank the car?

30# injectors and stock MAF installed when the software is expecting 24# injectors and 993 MAF!!! wrong a/f mixture is what was causing the stumbling/stalling, as expected. What was really interesting, though, was that it would catch at all.

thanks for the help guys.

If EWS is not tripped, the starter will not turn. Check the wiring diagrams.

I suspect there was a partial flash fault somewhere else in the system that cleared when they reset the ecu. Either way, at least is works now.

could be, as this may explain why my stock computer wouldn't fire either (also corrupted?)
