However, keep in mind that by the time the group purchase ends, the stock situation may be different than it currently is depending on if Eisenhaus.com (the U.S. distributor with whom I have my dealer account) sells any of the exhausts they have on hand. Anyway, I'll let you know tomorrow if they have any, if so, how many.

I am interested in the Race version w/Round Tip but have a few questions on the 2x76mm Round & the 2x83mm Round:

1. What is the overall width of the 2 pipes? (Given the height is 76mm and 83mm)

2. Will there be clearance issue on the diffuser between the two?

3. Can you ship to my installer instead of the billing address?

4. Are you setup with American Express yet?

Frank, some good questions.

1. Overall widths: 83mm tips - 171mm wide, 76mm tips - 156mm wide.

2. No clearance issues for the 76mm, but the 83mm is a tight fit. It's going to pretty much fill out the valence, and you MIGHT experience slight melting of inner parts of the valence if your exhaust hangers are old or bent.

3. Sure. What would be easiest for me is if you could confirm the shipping address with your credit card company for me -- it'd protect me and save me a bit of hassle. :)

4. Working on it. I gave my merchant account provider all the information last week, but it never got taken care of (for the SECOND time), so I gave it to them AGAIN. I'm pretty frustrated at this point, but it should be up and running soon!

Basically, the positioning is almost exactly what you would envision if you were to take a mirror image of the driver's side of the car. You'll simply have to carve a new space into your rear diffuser.

This will fit the E36 6 cylinder, yes. Shipping is for UPS ground in the continental U.S.

mpowerme: Unfortunately, the group purchase is available only to E36's -- Eisenhaus wants to keep it simple this first time. :)

Guys, just so you know, it's been brought to my attention by one of the board members here (not revealing his identity at his behest) who has this exhaust that there may be slight fitment issues with these exhausts. Specifically, the exhaust "sits lower than it's supposed to, and it also sits a little to the right...touching the diffuser a little..."

I have not encountered this issue personally and the manufacturer has made no note of it, but I felt this was important enough to address. These are by no means terribly off as you can see from the pictures above, and the unit is still an awesome exhaust, just a tiny bit off-center. :)

By the way, the forum member then went on to say that he didn't CARE about the fitment issues because the exhaust sounds SO good. He said he loved and that it was "unbelievable." :D

Yeah, I remember that post and seeing the pictures. I believe it was the 83 mm tips that had fitment issues. I believe the smaller tips had no fitment issues at all. Man, that quad setup looks really funky. :dunno
Any e36'ers do this one? Performance? Sound?

Well, if you want a better look at how the quad tip will look, here's a setup that shows what I BELIEVE is an Eisenmann 4x70mm, but can't confirm:

+1 round race. I've got a rewelded Stromung, but it may crack at the joints again. The separate pipes allow the Eisenmann to mount as needed, since it sits closer in the ti. I figure 83 mm tips look a bit pretentious and give away too much. :D

Thanks, the Stromung was a cut and fit; so it should be easier to just adjust the connector pipes.

M-crazy, I'd think you'd be better off with the dual version for E36s.

Okay, I've heard a lot of exhausts in person and through clips, Eisenmann and Stromung are the only ones with a deep tone roughly one octave down from everyone else without sounding overly loud, boomy, or droning, i.e. B&B. I rode in dave is cool's M3 w/ race version, that one is not too loud at all. It DOES have a great throaty note, kind of F1ish. Seals the deal for me.

Plus the separate connector pipes will allow for installation adjustment before clamping or welding.

I was the first person on any of the boards to get this exhaust system, it is simply the BEST sounding exhaust for BMWs. I wrote a review on it, if you search by my name and EISENMANN it should come up.

Might be an old news to some of you, but I am posting it anyway

Throughout 2001, 2002 and 2003, eisenmann had been the best choice
of European tuners (Especially for BMW E46 M3 group).
So far, the most popular item has been eisenmann race application (42LB)
(considering the price and performance),
and this will bring Approx. 8 WHP gain as well as nice rumble,
deep european throaty exhaust note.

If you want significant wieght savings and the most performance gain (10
WHP),
meistershcaft version is also available (Meist TI: 17 LB / Meist SUS: 37
LB).
Considering Stock OEM exhaust weighs 57 LBS, both eisenmann race and
Meisterschaft
systems will give you good weight savings.

Sound wise, the race application has throatier tone
and Meisterschaft has more deeper rumbling tone to it.
Either way, you can't really go wrong, but if you are
wondering which one has better sound, in my personal opinion,
Meistershcaft Ti/SUS has better sound.

Jon, it's just not a possibility at the moment. There isn't a large enough level of demand for these exhausts. The best I can say is that if you want one of these that bad (and they're worth it, really), pay the MSRP. The price difference isn't that large.
