Drove another M3 yesterday which exhibited audible tire nose from the front when stopping. Tracked straight, no vibrations, and had inner camber wear, but nothing severely out of place. '97 with 100k miles. Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Think it has to be tie rods or LCA's...any thoughts or experience here? Toe being thrown off by worn bushing when stopping?? Only when slowing down from speed about 45mph or so, as I came to a stop.

I am running Pilot Sport tires and they're pretty noisy. Mind you they are at about 40% up front and less than 20% in the back. The tire noise is probably just more audible because the engine is not under load... Just my 2 cents...

In the E36 it's easy to lock up the brakes it's possible that who ever drove the car slamed on the brakes and flat spoted the tires. I've done it on two different sets of fronts. What a flat spot is is were you remove a small area of rubber on the tire. This will make the tire have a spot of rubber missing causing a vbration.
