Well I just purchased an M50 intake manifold and I have a question or request for opinions on the various conversion kits. I have heard great things about Eric's kit if nothing else for his support after the sale. My question is after looking at EuroSports conversion kit. WTF does the nice billet aluminum piece do and what is used instead on other kits that do not include it?
Also since funds are tight over the summer... if I already have a Dinan CAI, some sort of software since I can rev to 7200 rpms an ACS cat-back exhaust and now the M50 intake... will the Euro 3.5" HFC make a difference? I've read post where some say no but with this combo is the answer still... NO?
Thanks,
Mike

In short - prevent frustration = bolt on install
It enables you to bolt the adapter onto the M50 and plug in your existing equipment on the car.
The other kits require to to spaghetti route NEW tubes/adapters in limited space= bloody knuckles and another hour of time I guess.

I did the Eurosport kit :D The "block" cleans-up all the vacuum connections and looks cool, the m50 dosen't have the "hole" the m52 intakes have = 3hr. install. It can be done well w/o it though.
Euro HFM = software upgrade $$

that is a very nice billet aluminum piece ...that eurosport kit looks really nice overall , it just a bit expensive .
I think the aluminum piece serves as a vacuum connection and mounting point for the manifold, instead of hoses and fittings.
it also looks pretty cool .
the other kit would work just as well, for alot cheaper but wont look as fancy , eventhough you would hardly see it under the manifold anyway
If you get the 3.5 in hfm , you will need a new tune to accomodate the different sensor in the meter.
If you did go ahead and do that you would probably end up with at least a few hp ....
I would say go for it , convert every thing to a 3.5 intake and get a tune ... now that sould net you some extra hp
