I've heard very different comments about these coilover systems.
I've heard that FK's are "ricer", when in fact they're made in Germany.
There is one member on here (Polo something) who runs FK's and he
seems to be more than happy with them. I haven't heard anything about
B&G coilovers on BMWs, but they get nothing but great reviews in the
VW world. Just curious if anyone knows more about these systems other
than the fact that they're "ricer" coilover kits. I am not looking to run
these on the track. I just want to go low (with adjustability) and have
a somewhat comfortable ride, without spending a lot of money. By the way,
I am looking for suspension for my '97 BMW 323i.

Save yourself the headache and stay away from B&G coilovers. I had them on my E36 and the ride was awful. I saw how the VW guys loved them and thought they would be decent because all I wanted to do at the time was lower my car and have a smooth ride like they claim. The ride turned out to be harsh on B&Gs and their rear spring was coil binding. The adjustments on the dampers do absolutely nothing but make clicking noises.
I now have Bilstein PSS9s and the ride and performance is light years ahead of B&G.
They work great on VWs so who knows they might be great for Minis also if thats the car you are getting them for.

thanks for the info. I ran H&R on my MINI, but wanted to go lower this
time 'round. I just need to find out more about FK's and the Bilsteins.

I should clarify that I had H&R lowering springs on my MINI. I am looking for a coilover kit for my E36.
Do your H&R coilovers go down pretty low? What's the max drop?
by the way, i love your car! I really miss my MINI!
