battery location?

I searched and could not find a definitive answer....

I have a 91 525i. My battery is under the hood, but there is wiring under the back seat. Was it relocated possibly? Did some of the M50's have the battery under the hood? Should I move it back to the back again?

Some early 91 M50's had them under the hood.

All other cars had them under the rear seat.

You could move it if you want, but it's not a huge deal. Just make sure there's still a positive terminal in the engine bay.
