Too bad it hit on the same weekend as the CCA auto-x. That's where I'm going to be.
So no one is going??? NO JUNE MEET! :D
Dan330, holla at me if you want an extra hand. I am going to be messing with my car anyway on Saturday. If you dont have a camera, you can use mine and take some pics as well.

Why don't you guys just come out to the auto-cross? It's a lot more fun than standing around.
Cuz it is in Mineral Wells, and I am not running. I am pampering my car until the August TWS DE. I just replaced all my shit in my car. It needs to be pampered!! :D

Iron Chef, why don't you come out to the auto-cross. Don't be a baby like Mike. Auto-crossing is for real men who don't mind hitting a few cones with their bimmers. Of course the better of them don't hit cones, like me. :D

good one Nobu :D I will be watching u avoid cones next weekend. cant wait to test the ltw flywheel next weekend ;) come to the autoX and it will be a real BMW meet :D

I can weave in and out of cones on I-35 all day with all the construction. Why do I need to drive an hour out of my way to do that?
Besides, I just got the car hooked and dont want to destroy it before my car gets the AA treatment. I guess I am a baby, I will only make around 450 hp.
BTW, I will be at TWS August 30-31 if you insist on calling me a baby.

I am not trying to auto-x. I am going to the track. It will help some there, plus hitting 150+ on the front straight "might" be fun. :flipa:

So you're never going to an auto-x? But it's so much fun...
Hitting 150mph on a straight would definitely be fun! So ok, you have a good point there. :)
So you're never going to an auto-x, ever?! :D
Yeah, I might go to an auto-x on a day I have absolutely nothing to do, but there is no reason to call me a baby because I dont want to abuse my car. Sorry if my income is not disposable and when I fix something I like it to last. Let's see what I have done in the last year...
Sorry, too long to list. Name something and I bet I have replaced it or upgraded it for the purpose of going to the track, not driving around cones in a parking lot in 2nd gear.

Scho...you're getting the AA treatment? I got to drive the car if you decided to get it....frayedy is contemplating getting a blower. Do you know anyone in DFW with the AA blower that might let me take it for a spin??:)
SG_M3

blackm3, i don't think anyone in dallas has an AA blower. There are a few Dinan s/c cars, but no AA, yet :devillook

Hey I did my DDE!
It was a bitch. The rings are not fitting to well. The ring on the xenons are slanted inwards at the bottom. So it looks like it will touch.
Otherwise the look is bright. I like them, but need to make them straighter.
I will get some pics and let you all see. This weekend. Waiting for my clears too. :)
Are they Gen. 5 or what?
Congrats, get pics asap :D
blackm3, no one here has an AA that I know of. That is one of the reasons I think I will get one. When I do, you are welcome to drive it and see what you think. BTW, are you going to TWS in August???

Rahul,
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about it, although I'm going to need new tires so it's going to be a little costly... :P
It's being hosted by the Porsche club.
I just had to go after working the grid at the last Porsche Club DE/Club Race at TMS.

I think it was a pretty crappy idea to change the meeting place.
"There was hardly anyone there the last few meetings..."
Well, let's analyze this. I'll go three meetings back.
May, April, March.
IIRC, the may one was kinda weak. The april meet was decent. The march meet was weak, because it was WINTER!! I don't know why you expected a whole bunch of people to be there during the months of winter, or when it was raining.
And if no one is meeting at that spot, why move it FARTHER out for just about everyone?
And no offense Mike, but why schedule a meet, and not even be in town for it? I think we should still keep meeting at Papa's. It's pretty central, easier to get to, and it's nice weather.
Now that i'm done stomping cocks...
AJ, I pm'ed you, just hit me back when you get the chance.

We need to organize a drive/lunch and photoshoot.

I think that would be a great idea aswell. Get a bite to eat and take some nice photo's of the cars and whatnot, it gives more people a reason to goto a meet I think.

Yeah, I was thinking of sending my car to AA for the stage 3, but I would have to come up with some more cash first. I really cant drop that much right now. I have finally decided to go Stage 2 and then go to Stage 3 maybe next year.
Let me know what kind of prices we can get. I want the AA Stage 2 turbo. I also want to add a track pipe!! I am going to call AA and see if an OBD 1 conversion would net any more power out of the turbo. I may need the OBD 1 kit. I will try to call Rey this week.

Actually Jojo and myself are on top of that. How does July 19th sound. In Las Colinas? this way we are all able to meet up talk a bit, take a drive to a few different places and take a bunch of group photos.
Let me know how you guys feel about that..
Sounds sweet David! I'm up for it.

I know roads out in grapevine, but not sure how many people would be there...people would get suspicious if 10-15 cars went back there..
I have been on the boards for a while now and I generally just read the posts however I would like to let you guys know about an event at TMS this weekend, follow this link to get more info: http://www.sportbikehype.com/ You can run your car on the infield track that way you can practice your driving skills without trying to avoid cones and they also have a large straight that you can get your fill with your drag racing desires. It should be a great place for everyone to see some cool stunts by the guys on bikes and allow for everyone to do what they enjoy. Not to mention a great opportunity for some cool pictures and videos. Maybe some of us that do not intend to race can bring food and drinks so we can eat and BS.... Just a thought anyway…

That specific run basically took all day (9am-4pm)-- but each stop (5 stops) was about 20 minutes or so. We should just pick one or two of the routes.
