If anyone has any styling ideas for the car, I'm open to anything.
For the past few years, one of my best friend's dad had a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 with the Vanden Plas long wheelbase package. Up until two years ago, he only had this one Jaguar. That year (2006), he bought another Jaguar XJ in the form of a 2004 XJ8. This past winter the car has gone into a state of disrepair. The electrical system looks like it has a few flaws, the transmission is going, there is zero compression in the number three cylinder, and so on...Ever since I met my friends dad, I have always been "Hey Terry, can I borrow the old Jaguar for the weekend?" (jokingly of couse). He knew I loved that car. The past few weeks, Terry has agreed to sell me the Jaguar (for an undisclosed ammount; but I will say I got it for an absoulute steal).
Here are a few pictures from the process of cleaning up and restoring so far:

Jokingly, My friend Brantly named the Jaguar the Millenium Falcon due to it's exhaust sounding both mean and broken (lol). The name is sticking and the Millenium Falcon she will stay :buttrock.
Again, If anyone has styling ideas let me know. I can't find a good looking wheel to fit on the car either :help The car is a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas.
btw I'm also selling a S62B50 that we were planning on swapping into it due to an extreamly low compression readings. It turned out to be a blown piston ring, so the S62 with 220,000 is up for sale. All offers considered.

It's an S62, and problaly somewhere around 3,000 for it given the mileage. Thought I'm not 100% sure what they go for these days.

I feel that you are going to dump a lot of money into that jag just to get it going again...and once it gets goin, it just might break on ya again. Good luck....

Your best bet is to drop in the original engine from a wrecker. You can get a good, used, compression tested Jag engine for around $600.
Engine swaps aren't easy. Engine swaps with modern electronics are even more difficult.

Fred, where were you with this engine when I did my M50 swap???
S62 in the Touring would have been waaay cooler - and only a couple/few grand more by the time I was done...

Right, so I give you my ~$10k E38, and then drive around a motor? Put wheels on it and drive it around?

But can you imagine how quick that would be if you mounted the S62 to a gokart?

OMG that would have been sickkk :buttrock. The engine has been at the junk yard for a while though. That would have been cool though.

UPDATE:
So I decided Jag's are much more of a hassle then they are worth, so I told the origional owner that I didn't want it anymore, and gave it back.
(Mainly because I've really been itching for an E30 anyway)

You can make them look really good. I had an XJ8 and it was one hell of a ride. I always hated jags until I got in that car and started driving it. I always miss it on long trips now. :( I didn't explore modding options until after the car was gone but I truely regret not VIPing one...The XJ6s were terrible V6s though...wish you had a v8. Good luck with it.
