Does anyone have a source for the midrange speaker trim for cheap? Dealer wants $120 for each speaker, trim and speaker are sold as 1 unit only.
Also how can I tell if its the screw on type or the other type... without taking apart the door?

as far as i know you have to take the door panel off. as far as the trim, you may get lucky on ebay or find some guy parting out his e36 on craigslist or junkyard. someone correct me if im wrong but thats what i would do. good luck and 120$?? holy crap.
ps you can always spray paint the new grills if the color doesnt match from a used piece

can you take a picture of what you're looking for? I may have some parts laying around.

eBay!
I bought the entire door panels in new condition with the dual speakers attached for $120 (for all four door panels).
Trust me it is way easier to replace the door panel than those little speakers. Even the new speaker trim is brittle and can break off if you don't install it right

I have the 2 midrange speakers covers in beige, with speakers attached. They are the screw on type and i will sell them for $60.00 for the pair plus shipping. Let me know and i can email a photo of them and arrange for payment via paypal.
thanks,
John
