Easy to remove panel around shifter ?

I need to remove the plastic panel around my automatic transmission shifter. The one with the speed indicator and the "A/M" switch. In the Bentley, the are just saying "carefully pry out" but I don't want to break anything.

Anyone has done it ?

Just do exactly as manual says, pry it out carefulley, one side then the other little by little and you'll be alright.

Ok, I did it without problem. I was also successful in soldering a new little light in the switch. Big saving compared to a new switch.
