Sunroof switch plate!

Hey guys, what is the best way to make a sunroof switch plate? Mine broke in half in epic fashion as my wife pressed the switch to open the sunroof. The breakage was followed by a round of questions on whether or not we should keep my car. We are keeping the car btw.

like the square cover that houses the switch and covers the sunroof motor broke? How does that happen from pressing the button?

I just checked the part on realoem.com and it shouldn't cost you more than about $20 to replace from the dealer. That's probably your best option.

The plate was apparently already cracked when it fell off. Thanks danomite! Ill check the local dealer monday.
