Cylinder head woes

so my headgasket is blown and my car has 242k miles on it. it is a 97 328i. i am probably going to be buying head from a 97 z3 with 26 k miles on it.it has already had all the machine work done(ie valve job,stem seals, etc).the casting # is the same. would you guys suggest a new head due to the mileage and high likelyness of a crack?

I honestly don't know, I'd pull the old head and take it in to see what all is wrong with it. If it's fine and just needs new seals, it may be cheaper to get it fixed than get a new head.
