I recently picked up this 1994 325i at a BMW dealership near me. I spotted it in back without plates and was happy to find out it was a one owner trade in from Wyoming or Missouri. 133k miles, 5spd with the sport package. The first on my list was to get the wheels off. I found a set of DSII's at a junkyard and then picked up some tires, and it looks so much better. A friend talked me into an HID kit for it to and I'm thinking it looks pretty nice. My next goal is to paint the lower grey bottom black to match. As soon as I left the dealership and got on the highway the check engine came on and they didnt want to do anything about it, though they charged me about $60 dollars to diagnose a faulty O2 sensor. So I fixed that right away. What do you think?

Nice find, man. What'd it set you back from a dealership?

I'm really beating myself up about the price. It ended up being about 45--.-- after tax and license and stuff. At the time, I knew that was a bit steep, but I figured since they said it was a one owner and they said everything was looking good on it, it was a good find and worth the extra cash.

I don't know about certified... They did a safety inspection I think when they got it before they were going to sell/auction it.

$4500 isn't bad, it's a clean looking car with relativly low miles for the year. You'll want to check the cooling system, and probably overhaul it, but other than that these engines are tanks.
Good move with the wheels! Looks sharp. I always liked black cars.
If you ever get the CEL again, look up the Stomp Code method. '94 is OBD1, so while Autozone can't read the code for free, you can get the car to tell you the problem with a little fancy footwork. You can also clear the OIL CHANGE and SERVICE lights using a paperclip instead of buying a $100 Peake tool.

That's what I paid for mine after title and taxes and I got it from a private seller. You got a good deal, bro. :)

That's not a bad price at all from a BMW dealer.
It's a good looking car, I hope all the electrics continue to work for you. The alternator isn't hard to change if you have to. Look for a Bentley manual, they are really helpful.

I got my '95 325i for $5400 from BMW of Columbus. They did $1100 worth of work to it while it was down there before I went to pick it up. So basically $6500 for one year newer than yours. Sounds to me like you got a great deal, especially if the car runs well. It looks good, especially with those wheels on it. I have the...I guess older? version of those. I'm very wheel saavy...lol. they just look good. Anyway, nice find, they're great cars.

atlantisvip- I did take it for a spin around the block, I just trusted the dealer being BMW and all. My dad came along with since he's been working on cars longer than I have.
Thanks for the comments though, I appreciate it :)
