Looking for an 04-06 Mini Cooper S / Possible JCW

I am a proud owner of a Z3 M Coupe with the S52 supercharged engine. I love the car and has been my garage queen for many years now. I am looking to getting a fun little car to drive around town that gets decent gas mileage. Most likely an 05-06 Mini Cooper S.

I found this car that would have been perfect for me! I went over there (an hour drive each way :confused), drove it, loved it, even gave him a deposit but the owner sold it to another person that looked at it before me that same day so... back to zero....

I have checked ebay, autotrader, craigslist, etc..... with no luck.

Can anybody recommend a good deal around town? I am in LA!

I think I want a mini S 05-06, would consider the JCW as I do not plan on modding it too much if any. I hear the 15% pulley and exhaust is all you need to do to be up there with the JCW. Options are not as important to me even but I would like to have the xenons. Low mileage is also prefered as well!

I'd look for either an 05 or 06 since the change over to 05MY gave some improvements over 04 and before. Like LSD, better gearing, and supposedly some engine components were upgraded. If you're just going to be using it as a DD, I wouldn't suggest you go with a JCW. You pay soo much more for the relatively small improvements they made to a basic Cooper S.

If and when you find a car you really like, I know of a great mini shop a friend of mine works at. If you look on any Mini forums, Minicorsa in van nuys is definitely one of the best places in the country to take a Mini. http://www.minicorsa.com

Yes an 05 would be great. It does not need to be a JCW but it would certainly be cool if it had JCW package installed as well. A decent 05 Mini S will do for me probalby.

I noticed you are in Santa Clarita... That's where I was yesterday looking at that other car that I put a deposit on and somehow was sold to the previous guy that looked at it and did not put a deposit on it.... too bad!

Mini Corsa is run by Danny right? Did he work at Race Marque Systems there in Van Nuys as well with Osh?
