I posted the below post "2008 Sparkling Graphite" with pictures in the classifieds, but there I will get limited responses. What I want are honest opinions, as to what I should ask for her, If I do get serious inquiries or If I should list in the classified or ebay. Your help is greatly appreciated, I've enjoyed the six months I've had her. Maybe someday, I will have another. But now just wasn't the time...

I’m now driving an average of 500 miles a week (more than I thought I'd be), and gas is killing me. I average about 23 miles to the gallon stop and go and 26/27 highway. This is averaging about $400.00 a month for gas. I presently as of this posting have 9,992 miles on her. This is outrageous; now add the car payment, the insurance, and not to mention – I’m going to rack up way to many miles on this great car, to fast!

I ordered my 2008 328xi, October 15, 2007 and took delivery 12/07/2007. With all that I added to her she came to $45,120.00. I have included the sticker in the photos so you could see all the added option (Sparkling Graphite, Xenon Adaptive, Premium, Cold Weather, Logic 7, HD Radio, Sirius, PDC, Comfort Access, etc, etc.)

In addition she’d come with three sets of tire and two sets of wheels. Yep that’s right three: Winters’ – Bridgestone Blizzaks LM-25 with Tire Rack’s Rial Salerno Rims (I keep one in the trunk year round for the spare); on her now with the stock rims are Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Positions, and I still have the original stock Turanza’s that came off at 355 miles.

I also, as you can see by the photos had the Black Line Taillights installed (I also still have the original stock taillights). Other items are the Pico Tray, integrated phone docking, both all weather and carpet mats, BMW Extended Tool Kit Jack (from LeatherZ), BMW Mechanical Tire Gauge, and seat mounted sport coat hanger.

So here is the retail of the car:

2008 BMW 328xi w/ all options $45,120
5 Winters Wheel and Tires $ 1,436
4 Pole Position tires $ 540
Backlines Taillights $ 250
BMW Jack Kit And Gauge $ 203
Sport Coat Hanger $ 30
Pico Tray $ 45
4 Stock Turanza Run Flats $ 0
Original Stock Taillights $ 0

Total: $47,624

I thought maybe now was the time to have my BMW, but with the jump in gas, my now average weekly mileage, and the hefty payment just doesn’t make since. The vehicle is still financed of course. It is financed with BMW Financial. I am looking to get your honest opinion as to what I could sell her for (do you think 40,000) and possibly serious inquires. I have taken really good care of her. This spring she received a clay scrubbing and Zaino application. After reading these forums, I decided on oil changes at every 5,000 at my cost; I wasn’t going to accept the 15,000-mile thing. She just had her second this Saturday.

If you're getting 23 mpg in "stop and go", how are you only getting 26/27 mpg on the highway? I'm getting about 29/30 mpg on the highway..

I could be wrong on the 26/27. I mostly check the stop and go (country roads) and it is usually always 23 to 24. So your probably right and if I were headed on a long trip it would probably be around that.

I'm thinking of asking $40,000.00 or Best Offer. It's not on KBB or NADA yet.

all the stuff you bought is worth nothing. Not sure you are going to get 40k for it. What do you think is going to get better mpg? They just did a comparison in car and driver and the corolla got 23 mpg
