Question: Do you have the velocity splitters in not carbon fiber, and are you going to be getting any other lip spoliers, LTW, GTR, RS, etc.
jsp98m3
06-12-2008, 10:35 PM
We have Velocity Splitters in Polypropylene too. They are $55.00. You can get 15% off that with DDM Wholesale Club pricing. I will have them up on the site tomorrow. I have to find out where that idjit Marcus stored the pictures :)
We will have other splitters soon. I just bought another big pile of stuff today. I have to rest tonight before shopping again in the morning. :)

The texture is not smooth and its not as heavily textured as the original pieces. You can paint them or leave them as is and they won't be out of place.
I'm not sure what price you were quoted from the dealer. But give us a call. We seem to have a knack for getting great prices. If we can get them for you cheaper, we'll pass the savings on to you. If you are planning on ordering something, clips and such can be tossed in without affecting shipping costs. Otherwise, we have these little boxes we can put stuff like this in and mail them for next to nothing.

If you join the Wholesale Club, there is a $50 charge. BUT, then we give you a $50 credit off your order PLUS 15% on most merchandise that isn't already on sale.
So, lets look at the moldings as a sample order.
Line Item 1 = Moldings @ 100.00
Line Item 2 = DDM Wholesale Club @ 50.00
Sub total = 150.00
Line Item 3 = DDM Wholesale Club Member Credit @ -50.00
Line Item 4 = DDM Wholesale Club Member Discount @ -15.00 (15% merchandise Discount)
So, your total is 150.00 - 65.00 = $85.00 total + shipping.
DDM Wholesale Club Membership is free for the first 12 months with the credit back to your account. PLUS you get another 15% off the product.

Actually I gotta say that I've been checking out a lot of DDM Tunings growth here on the forum and how you've handled your business. Even when there were a few "complaints" you handled it with decisive action and you just fix things with no B.S. Nope. We just found out that we shipped them out and the manufacturer left clips out of some of them. So, we are sending everyone that has already shipped some clips just to make sure so you don't have to be the ones to find out if they are in there or not. Just being proactive.

Jim

The website can't deal with the membership and the discount at the same time. You should have paid $85 plus shipping.
If you have checked out and paid by paypal, you will be getting a partial refund when the guys enter your order.
If you checked out, but supplied a credit card, then you have not been charged yet and the salesguys will only charge you 85 plus shipping. This kind of confusion is why we recommend people call in to join or use their DDM Wholesale Club membership. Our new website will deal with this much better.

I know you mentioned you would put up instructions for the side skirts on the ddm site the other day, can you put them up?
Two of the white clips with the green grommets do not hold on to the underside of the m3 mouldings, they popped out when I was pushing the mouldings in and now I am unable to properly attach the moulding.
Any ideas? edit- used some epoxy to hold the clips back on.

i just got my moldings today and they looked great. so i took off all my stock moldings and went to put these on. the smaller front part went on great (2nd pic). the larger door molding itself went on terrible, as you could see only one clip is holding it up. likewise the last molding near the rear tire did not go on either:(
it seems like the clips on the moldings are the wrong size and not even coming close to snapping it, there to small. here's some pics below.

The best solution to this is to just epoxy the mouldings on, I had similar problems, and rather than send them back and have to pay shipping costs this makes a lot of sense as long as you don't plan on taking them off.

i guess that would work but i didn't want it to come down to that. i looked to see if the oem clips that came off the stock moldings would clip onto the new ones but the runner where they clip onto is different.

I used epoxy to hold the clips back in place as two of them would not hold on to the moulding and used a very small amount on the actual moulding and it turned out perfect - no evidence of epoxy. I only had this problem on one of the mouldings the drivers side big one with the badge.

Alot of the times, even with OEM moldings, they don't sit flush by just applying constant pressure. If you give it a good smack with the bottom of your palm the clips will go in. Like AMDSPITFIRE said, put the little grommets in first, then smack the moldings in once they are aligned

For stuff Like that I recommend professional installation. If you don't feel comfortable doing it without a DIY i would have a body shop do it. Also we don't have any e36's that have no holes predrilled for sideskirts. All the E36's we have have side skirts already.Making it hard for us to do an extensive DIY.

well they certainly snapped into place and fit great just like in the short video. of course i'm an idiot and the idea the green things have to come off the clips never crossed my mine.
my only complaint is the front/driver's molding, the front is still loose and never completely tight again the car because there's no clip in front, there's only a plastic piece that just chills in the molding hole. it's an easy fix though, just need to think of what i could put under there so they sit flush and not loose.

sigh...anyone else remember the days before DDM? Mouldings (before the euro skyrocketed) were $180....OEM M3 bumpers in trashed condition would sell for $350...m3 mirrors were $250...etc
Same goes for lighting - $300 for a set of DEPO? Even then, people called you a cheapskate for buying DEPO instead of zkw. HIDs...wow...$300 for HIDs. I still see on other boards (motorcycle especially where they don't understand how HID prices have dropped like a rock) vendors selling HID kits for $140. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
A bit nostalgic to think of back in the day when I would actively peruse the classifieds looking for used parts to save a penny or two.

Great deal ,great price! I already have a set though. I don't suppose you guys can sell me a piece individually. My drivers side door moulding is messed up.

Any chance you would be willing to just sell me the badges? I've got OEM moldings off another member but they come with the M3 badge...
Since my car isn't an M3, I don't want to mess up the M3 reputation but using them on my Non-M..:shifty

No badges by themselves at this time.
We may offer these in August. These come in the boxes 1 for 1. In August we will be Expanding our warehouse space again and I can stock more of these types of items.
