I found this and thought it seemed cheap. How much work would it be to get this running?

i knuw it didnt have a crank it would be a project while i drive the M44 around. but i guess it isnt even worht it lol. Guess the engine swap only will be a project just trying to find a S52 for a good price. I seen that one and knuw it would need to be built and need a few more parts but figured i could aford that right now and just work on it over the next year.

The pistons and rods are worth $500.00. All you need is the rest... should probably just buy one complete and not pull it apart.

It is not hard at all... crank on TDC for cylinder #1. Markings on the square thingy on the rear of the cams up...

Don't be afraid. After you tighten everything rotate the engine with a wrench. you will not be able to spin it all the way if the valves hit

Might make a nice end table! But seriously depending on the rust damage you might be looking at a major machine shop bill to get it in running order.
