I have a '94 325is and the blower doesn't work. The problems: blower motor work intermediately on it own for the last 5 months like it has it own mind. Swapped a different climate control analog and doesn't solve problem. Got blower motor to run every time at every speeds/positions setting after giving the motor blades a slight spin with car running. Is this the motor blower problem or the resistor problem?

guy has 6 posts...not everyone gives enough of a shit to try to search or knows about the search function. you didn't even tell him to search...
im going to guess the actual motor or a connection...the resistor shouldn't have intermittent problems, the resistor issues usually mean the blower will blow its ass off at 3 or 4 but not at all on 1 or 2 (this isn't bmw specific btw...). i'd check the connections to the motor and then consider a blower motor swap.

I agree the resistor is usually 1 or 2 speed that wont work at all . If you have to spin it to get it started its the brushes get a new blower motor. I have fix resistors before you usually lose a speed or have high or low only.

After replacing my blower motor, my resistor went out a few months down the road. Talking to a German indi shop (BMW and Porsche only), apparently it's a general rule to replace both when one goes out.

You guys would be suprised, electrical components can cause intermitent problems more than the actually blower would. Usually if it's the motor it would either slowly go out, go out completely, make a bunch of noise, etc. I work in the cell phone industry, and almost every problem that people have are intermitent.
