Im going to do a m50 manifold swap onto my 99 M3, my question is, I already have stage 2 dinan software, will that be able to run with the m50?

Technically there is no specific software for the M50 install itself, but the car, OBDII, will be able to adapt fuel trims and such to match the modification. So the answer is just bolt up the M50 and reset the ECU's adaption if you can, need a scan tool.

Wow! Now I'm very interested in the M50 swap!
This comment really cuts through all of the software wars I've seen on this topic.
Is an 3.5" MAF upgrade required with the M50 intake, or can I keep my M52 MAF?

You can retain the M52 MAF but if you do switch to the 3.5, you will need new software. Then again it is wise to have all the bigger components of airflow from the intake to the MAF to the throttlebody to the intake manifold.

Yes you can keep the M52/S52 MAF, the only reason to upgrade to 3.5" Intake on OBDII M3's is if you jump to cams. Then cams, M50, 3.5" MAF, 3.5" Intake, Injectors, & Software would be in order. Otherwise, there's no significant benefit that I've seen...
