Anyone have any experience with the Sparco Steel seats?
I'm looking into race seats and i dont want to spend much money
You're buying a roll cage too then, right?
This is something you should research in the track forum - seats are a safety device.

Actually the entry level steel Sparcos are pretty decent. There is ZERO flexure in the frame so they hold you in better than the fiberglass ones, IMO. The finish is OK, but I'd highly suggest wear pads, or stitching in some leather on the high traffic areas. The benefit to the fiberglass seats is weight obviously, but they also tend to be a bit more ergonomic and comfortable.
Make sure what you buy is FIA cert. and that your belts are installed properly. Can never be too safe with seats and belts. Spinal compression can paralyze you, and is well worth $200 - 300 you might "save" with a lesser seat.
