Contour problem./question

I have some Contours that have been unfortunatly chromed. I'm wondering if i'm screwed? I'm looking to get them back to a stock look. I ahve an estoril blue 96 m3, and i'm in the middle of getting a respray. I figure now would be the time. So are contours painted stock? or is it a polished alloy?

What are my options? or do i have any.

Yeesh, that's a good question. Are they 'for real' chromed, or just uber polished? They are painted from the factory. Try a search for Wurth wheel paint. I think that is the gray they use. If I was in your shoes... I would just find a good set of aftermarket wheels and use this as an opportunity to upgrade and reduce some unsprung weight.

Im pretty sure they are for sure chromed. There were some knicks in the wheels that it looks like they just chromed right.

Im sure you could sell them and someone would buy them, take the profit and use it towards some new rims.

well i talked to a guy at the chrome pit here in winnipeg, he said he'd try to do my spare for me. So i'lll have a test go at it. And then i'll see what my wheel guy can do.

Anyone have the paint code for the contours?
