Changing Settings 2006 325i

Ok boys dont be too bad,

I just picked up a used 2006 BMW 325i. No owners manual. So i dig around a get one. This unit has no NAV or iDrive.

I see in the manual you can change how many times the blinker blinks when you just tap the stalk and the horn and lights on lock etc...

However when i go to the setting that displays the key with the checkmark its actually the one for changing units of measure etc... No other one is present? Im i just clueless or can i not change those things? That would suck.

18k with warranty (3/36) Not sure on pkgs/options I need to get a build sheet or sticker from a BMW dealer, with 60k miles (looks garaged kept)

From what I've seen/Messed with it has:
-Automatic, with SPORT (DS), and the 6speed (auto stick or whatever that you can shift yourself)
-Sunroof
-The deal (conveince access?) where you can roll windows down and open sunroof with unlock button
-Aftermarket Tint

Not really sure what else at this point without the sheet, has all the usuals I guess are usuals (mp3 with aux input, lights under handles, etc...)

To be honest this is my first BMW and im quite impressed, I wanted something different and had it narrowed to an Infinity G35, M45, and a Grand Prix GXP (wtf was i thinking).

When/IF i get the build sheet or whatever i'll be able to chim in with more info on the packages and options.

if yours is an early '06 that does not have the software onboard for this. you have to get the dealer to upload the changes for you (door locks, DRL's, etc.)

yea i think its 05 05 or something on the build date real early, how many hours to dealers typically charge?

still under warranty / service plan.......no charge (had mine done twice)
they also upgrade your software for any changes.....including running MP3's CD's
(was a TSB for 05 cars)

had him turn the auto-locks on only to realize i could not get used to hitting the unlock button upon exit and pulling the handle twice was a p.i.t.a.
so i had him reverse that...



don't know about charges for out of warranty / service plan

I have the earliest of the 2006 3 series... dont have the option on my IDrive of hearing an audible sound when I lock the doors... do I need a software upgrade? and Anyone know about the mp3 upgrade? and the real time GPS? with traffic? What do I need?

i have an 07 335 w nav and will let me change whether or not the lights blink when i lock the car but it wont let me choose an acoustic warning[?] whats the deal there?

I beleive you need to have an alarm I thought I had an alarm but i dont I have all the wires needed but that wasn't one of my options. So I cant choose the audible choice either.
