I just picked these up on ePay since I thought they would change the look of the front of the car some and give it some flair. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=230250215800&rd=1 I did search the forum is installation fairly easy? Since the connectors are different I suppose I am going to have to cut off the original connector and splice the wires for the euro type connectors (they are provided with the lights). I read that all you have to do is unsnap the plastic panels adjacent to the fog lights remove one screw and the other side is held in with the ball connector is this assumption correct? Will I need to put the car on a lift to do it or can I do it with it sitting on the ground? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes

Yep, you can always use t-taps so you don't have to cut the original connector.

It's either one or two screws, but it's not hard to get the fogs out.

Nah... if you can get the screws out you'll be golden. If you can't, just take the bumper off. It only takes 5 minutes.

ouch 120? its easy, i used the american projector which fits perfectly, so i'm running H1. so if you have H1 connectors on the fogs, sell them to me!

I suppose I can get the "T" connectors in the electrical section at an auto parts store? I did not know how rare these fog lights were and saw that new white ones sell from $90 - $120 so I figured $120 for Euro Frenched ones was not out of line. I am new to this add on Euro stuff, I did get a great deal on the Euro Aspherical mirrors new in the box pair for $50 though, heated even. I think they will look nice on the front of the car.

the euros use H1 on fogs. so it should be a direct connect when you're running H1 in your original fogs.

Wow, that's a great deal. I'm picking up the brand new yellow projector lenses from the dealer today that I paid $125 for, plus the used projector fog housings I'm using off a US-spec 1995 E34. With bulbs and Lamin-X clear film to protect my investment in the lenses, I'll be out about $200.

Nice score.

Good note....

Please check and see if your current fogs are H1 bulbs. If that's the case, you'll have no cutting or snipping of the wires.

If the electrical plug in connectors from mine will plug right into the Euro ones I will be thrilled. I hate crimp on connectors and would most likely cut off the plugs and solder and heatshrink the others if they are not a direct connect as stated. Plug and play would be great. I would love to have the smilies and the frenched high beams too, but the guy I recently bought the car from put brand new Depo angel eyes and fresh bulbs in so I can't justify it right now.

I looked at the fog lights on the car last night, the adjacent panels come off with a spring loaded button you press and hang from some thin nylon material on each end (how cool is that). It appears that the screws that need to be removed are facing towards the rear of the car though, a pair of approximately 7mm ones? Can anyone confirm this? There is a single phillips head screw visible when the panel is removed. It is not as easy as removing that one is it? All the photos of the ones I have seen for sale have the staggered plastic tabs that look like the screws with the heads facing the rear of the car connect to. I also saw that my passenger side one is cracked/broken in the vicinity of the phillips screw that faces you which I can probably epoxy once removed.
